Welcome to Roast Alarm. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Roast Alarm application, website (https://roast-alarm.com), and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Roast Alarm ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.

1. Eligibility and Usage

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use our Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for configuring your mobile device appropriately to ensure alarms function correctly (e.g., granting Notification and Full-Screen Intent permissions).

2. Service Description and AI Interactions

Roast Alarm is designed to provide motivational, discipline-oriented, and occasionally abrasive ("roast") content generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to encourage users to wake up.

• Nature of Content: The AI-generated content is intended for entertainment and motivational purposes. It may contain strong language or harsh critiques of your waking habits. By using the app, you consent to receiving such content.
• No Medical Advice: Roast Alarm is not a medical device. The app, its AI feedback, and sleep tracking features are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any sleep disorders or medical conditions.
• System Limitations: While we strive for accuracy, the App's ability to trigger alarms may be affected by your device's battery optimization settings, silent modes, or OS updates. We are not liable for any missed alarms or subsequent consequences (e.g., missed flights, meetings).

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Certain features, premium AI voices, or subscription plans ("Pro Features") may be available for purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

• Billing: All payments are processed by the respective app stores. You must comply with their terms regarding payment and billing.
• Renewals and Cancellations: If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, it will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings.
• Refunds: We do not handle refunds directly. All refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google pursuant to their respective refund policies.

4. Community and Multiplayer Conduct

Our Services include "Squad" or Multiplayer features where users can share their Discipline Scores, aliases, and failure reasons via unique PINs.

• User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the alias you choose and the content you share within Squads.
• Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to use offensive, defamatory, or illegal aliases. You must not use the Squad feature to harass, abuse, or spam other users.
• Moderation: We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to monitor, remove, or restrict access to any Squad or user that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services (including but not limited to software, source code, UI design, audio files, AI characters, and text) are and will remain the exclusive property of Roast Alarm and its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Services.

6. Disclaimers of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alarms will fire accurately under all device conditions.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROAST ALARM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, data, employment, academic standing, or other intangible losses resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (ii) any failure of the alarm to trigger; or (iii) any psychological distress caused by the AI-generated content.

8. Changes to Terms and Services

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice.
